Quad Dog 10/31/2016 12:21 pm With some regret I sold the Landrover and bought this quad for France. It came with a whole 39miles on the clock. I had a few nightmares with the carb until I realised the vaccu-advance pipe was missing! Derrr shame on me. Dog happily rides among in veg box with chainsaw. Chris 3

Winter Projects 10/31/2016 11:48 am Couple of projects on tap for this winter shaping up. A 1970 Velocette being modernized with inverted forks and sweet motard wheels. The old bike is a 1949ish Norton single with a JAP alcohol engine. Fun stuff! Neil 3

Landy Technical 10/26/2016 4:42 pm Bored of Isis getting all the press we decided to turn the landy into our own technical vehicle this summer. Throwing skeet was our first foray, before moving on to a aoon to be revealed secret death ray Chris 5

Ural Scrambler 10/25/2016 10:55 am Lyle got me to thinking again about what to do with my old Ural solo that's been just sitting around gathering dust. A caf? custom or a scrambler was the first thoughts but both required a change of steering head angle since the stock frame is quick steering for sidecar use. Then I spotted this... Neil 4

Francis Barnet 10/24/2016 7:38 am I found this at the weekend at a show, the boxed in bikes came in really odd shapes. Also the BSA Bantam owners club refused my membership for my Harley Hummer! What a bunch of snobs Chris 5

Velocette LE 10/17/2016 4:48 pm Picked up this little Velocette LE 150 this past summer and it's now in the line up for rebuild. It's a 1950 or so shaft drive, water cooled flathead twin 150cc with hand shift and hand lever start! It came with a spare motor in pieces and an extra transmission, radiator and final drive so it should be a relatively easy rebuild if I can source the 150cc pistons. later models where 200cc and I may have to punch it out since parts for those are way more plentiful. Matchless Hybrid hits the trail 10/17/2016 4:41 pm Another bike that I finished last winter was this 1964 Matchless G15 Scrambler factory hybrid. Norton engine, wheels and front fork with Matchless everything else. Really fun build and lots of happy riding in the dusty hills around Missoula. Neil 3

1920 Scout 10/17/2016 4:33 pm Finally drug my 1920 Scout home this summer. It\'s been at Magoos getting paint. Almost thirty years of picking away at this project and at last it's just about done. Most of the time was spent looking for parts and procrastinating. The rest of the time was spent trying to afford the job. I started originally with a motor and a frame/fork and nothing more. Had I known what lay ahead I would have sold it long ago! Neil 1

Real Streamliner 5/3/2016 9:52 am Rex Svoboda the salt/tower boss at what was formerly called BUB is building a new streamliner for a German effort using a Hyabusa engine. The bike can run with or without a sidecar (no passenger). Probably going to be ready for the 2017 season. Still needs lots of work and a trip to Salt Lake City for wind tunnel tests. There is a growing demand for a streamliner rule change that will require wind tunnel data before any streamlined bike is allowed to run at any AMA or FIM event, too many homebrewed junkers out there that could hurt people. Rex is a Missoula guy, forty year friend and he personally inspects all streamliners before they are allowed to run. Things better be perfect including welds or there will be no more running untested or old heaps at the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials event. But it still is a great drive to the salt if a guy just wants to hang out and watch or play in the pits. Neil 1
